AN AFTERLIFE? CHILDISH FAIRY TALES! After all, consciousness depends only upon the brain. But wait...Science has shown that the flow of time is a purely subjective reality--that the past "still" exists. "Time and Immortality," a 14-part series of articles tailored especially for USENET, explains how time itself ensures our survival-- in the future as well as the past. Reply by mail if you are interested. If many of you are, it will be re-posted to this newsgroup. Otherwise, you'll receive it by mail in sections. An outline of the series is posted below.

Some of you have requested an outline of the Time and Immortality series. Here it is. Reply by mail if you haven't yet read this series and are interested. 1. Is Yesterday Really Gone? (parts 1 thru 3) Two opposing philosophies of time. The meaning of time as the fourth dimension. Free will, determinism, and the "many worlds" concept of quantum physics. Time and the question of survival after death. 2. The Arrow of Time (parts 4 and 5) Does time really flow? A clear explanation for the layman of a complex subject (motion picture analogies are used for ease of under- standing). Why is the flow of time dependent upon human consciousness? Zeno and Parmenides: the two sages from Elea. 3. The Perpetual Moment (parts 6 thru 8) The mechanism of our survival in the perpetual past via infinite waves of awareness rippling across time. Multiple worlds and multiple "us's." 4. What a Coincidence-- (parts 9 thru 11) Jung's concept of meaningful coincidences (synchronicity). Explanations of meaningful coincidences from modern physics. Archetypal dreams and images. The relationship of synchronicity to such paranormal phenomena as the "I Ching" and astrology. The cyclical view of time. Multiple realities and the mythic dimension as explanations for synchronicity. 5. --There You are Again! (parts 12 thru 14) "Reincarnation experiences" explained as mental communication through time between different persons with like personalities: the concept of time twins. The predictability of time twins by synchronicity. The paradox of different persons, yet the same person; the mythic reality system's ability to resolve the paradox. Attempts to explain ESP using modern physics. Final conclusions about survival after death from a non-soulist perspective.
