On Saturday evening, November 9	the Men's Club of Congregation Sons
of Israel, Englishtown,	NJ will	present	Mordechai Ben David in
concert	at the Manalapan High School. Who's Mordechai Ben David,
you may	ask?

Mordechai Ben	David first appeared as	a "child prodigy" together
with his father Cantor David Werdyger, but it	was when he first
appeared on his own that he exploded onto the	Jewish scene as	a
new singing sensation. He sings with	the heart and soul of a	real
Chasid, yet is young and American enough to put his message across
in today's modern musical jargon. He	sings in Hebrew, English and
Yiddish and his style	blends the old with the	contemporary. His
music	has been called	"American Jewish Soul Music." He has
performed in America,	Europe,	Australia, Africa and the Mideast.
Ben David composes most of his own songs, produces his own records
and currently	has 13 best-selling records out, many of which are
at the top of	the Jewish music charts.

Also appearing,	both as	backup to Ben David and	solo will be the
Hebrew Rock Group Neginah (from	Brooklyn).

Advance	tickets	are $10, 13, and 16. Prices at	the door will be $2
higher (and the	seats may not be as good!). Sponsors and patrons
are also welcome, please call 446-7797 for more	details. You can
order your tickets by sending a	check to:

		Men's Club
		Congregation Sons of Israel
		P.O. Box 359-C
		Englishtown, N.J. 07726

Englishtown is just off	Route 9, about 20 minutes south	of exit	123
of the Garden State Parkway.
Its only about an hour ride from Manhattan or Brooklyn (of course New
Yorkers	are welcome!).

Needless to say, bringing a Jewish entertainer of this caliber to
central	New Jersey involves a significant financial committment	and risk.
So please, if you wish to see this type	of entertainment on
an ongoing basis in New	Jersey,	you can	show your support by attending.
In return, we promise you a night of fabulous entertainment.

Feel free to e-mail questions to me.
