I'm not sure if this is the proper newsgroup to which I should post this
article, but since it directly concerns certain religious issues of mine,
I felt that this would be the most apropos newsgroup.
Within the next few weeks, I will have the opportunity to relocate to the
Merrimack/Nashua New Hampshire area. I am currently living in Boston in
an area with a large percentage/number of Jews.
I would deeply appreciate if anyone could provide me with any information
regarding the "Jewishness" of the southern New Hampshire area (numbers of
Jews, synagogues, where they are, etc.). I am fully aware that it is NO
way the "haven" for Jewish culture that Boston is and I am also aware that
Boston is only a 55 mile ride but, by the same token, I would like to feel
comfortable in my new surroundings. Being single and only twenty-three
years of age, I feel this is a more important decision now then it would
be twenty years from now if and when I am married. I consider myself to be
conservative/traditional in my religious beliefs (if I may be allowed to use
that label) and I want to be sure that I will be both happy and comfortable
in this new area.
Any help that anyone can give me, (a name, a phone number, some information),
would be greatly appreciated. Please mail it to me directly, to one of the
