[micro.commodore] Sending break from a C64

A student here wants to roll his own communications program on his c64.
He is using the Commodore modem from the user port. The question is:
	How do you send a break?
He's writing this in basic if that makes a difference.
Please respond by mail as I do not subscribe to the Commodore groups.
