I have a book (at home -- I'll get the publisher and author later) called: How to Make All the Meat You Eat from Wheat Nice title. A friend of mine guesses that the author figures all vegetarians are just DYING to eat meat, but have incredible will power to not do so. The book discusses how to make from flour a natural food product containing a good amount of protein. The protein was derived by concentrating the wheat gluten from the flour. The process was fairly simple and involved maybe an hours worth of time. No exotic utensils were required. I only made this stuff once. I was rather disappointed with the results, probably due to insufficient spices. It was about as exciting to one's palate as plain tofu. You may have inspired me to try again and experiment more. Stay tuned. I'll post the process and better references tomorrow. -- Larry Tepper - Storage Technology (disk division) uucp: { decvax, hao}!stcvax!lat { allegra, amd70, ucbvax }!nbires!stcvax!lat USnail: Storage Technology Corp - MD 3T / Louisville, CO / 80028 DDD: (303) 673-5435
