What are the best references dealing with vegetarian nutrition? Specifically, I would like to convert to a (mainly) vegetarian diet geared toward athletic training. I have a particular problem trying to add bulk, and I would like to know how I should adjust my diet. Also, what are the best cookbooks for people with little time to cook? As for cooking for people who have little time to cook, the following works well for me: I got myself a Seal-a-Meal. On Saturday, I cook a big meal. I freeze some of the left-overs in plastic bags. I leave some in the refridge for lunch during the week. On Sunday I bake bread and a LARGE pot of soup.(lentil/ split pea or chile) I freeze this as well. During the week, when I don't have time to cook. It takes me 15 to 30 minutes, with no preperation to cook dinner. I just boil the frozen bags of food. We tend to buy dry beans and rice in bulk( 50lb bags) so our food bills are rather small. Our biggest cost is fruit juice from the store.(well over half of our costs) We are working on that one by getting a press to press our apples with. John Sechrest hplabs!hp-pcd!johns
