This in reference to my article a week ago or so, posted to
net.wanted and net.jobs, hunting for summer jobs in
'silicone valley.'
Boy,... am I ashamed. It is not like I am an east coast
college student, looking for fun in the sun out in California.
No, in fact I am a born and bred second generation northern
Californian, and proud of it. In fact, I would have flamed
myself considerably more viciously than did all you guys back
home.
No, in fact I have no excuse at all,... basically I just
can't spell,... that's why 'spell' gets such good use on
this system! So, to all the Californians who flamed me for
that and other flagrant typos, please forgive me. And to
all of you who did not,... thanks for being forgiving, but
I deserved it!
The morals are:
1) a college education isn't quite what it used to be!
2) we all knew already that programmers can't spell or type!
3) Never, Ever, leave California!
