After reading the excellent guide for easy, time saved, yet highly productive gardening, Square Foot Gardening, I decided to plant Swiss Chard. My problem is that both in Square Foot Gardening and Joy of Cooking passing mention is made to ways to prepare Swiss Chard. Both suggest that the leaves be prepared or used as one would use Spinach. Both state that the stems may be cooked as one would prepare asparagus. That's fine and I'll give those a try. Fresh Swiss Chard leaves are as tasty as the spinach. Does anyone have a "special" recipe for preparing Swiss Chard or one for spinach or asparagus that would be especially delectable? Has anyone used Swiss Chard in salads? Anything to watch for?
