Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pa. will be the site of the 1985
VEGETARIAN SUMMERFEST, sponsored by the North American Veg. Society (NAVS).
The conference will run from July 24th to the 28th and will include
classes/lectures on "health, nutrition, natural living, and animal rights",
according to the NAVS literature. Some topics covered will be: Christianity
and Vegetarianism, Raising Vegetarian Children, Workshop on Organic
Gardening, The Philosiphy and the Practical Application of Veganism, World
Peace through Vegetarianism, Accupressure, Stress Reduction, and Aerobics.
The conference will also include a HARE (Humans Against Rabbit Exploitation)
Planning Conference on Fri., July 26th, and a summer meeting of VEGEDINE,
a professional organization of veg. dieticians, and nutritionists. Also
included will be some great entertainment, and culinary delights (veg. of
course).
