The only problem with proposing Peter O'Toole for Poobah is that he's an Irish citizen. I suppose it would display an admirable degree of eclecticism (normally missing from the American milieu) if we were to have an alien as our Head of State... How about John Houseman?

This idea of selecting Poohbah and Poohbess for the United States is a great idea... frankly, I think Nancy stinks when she attempts it -- no real star appeal. Lets have some nominations out there (this could be almost as much fun as selecting demises for Dondi). Mine are: Peter O'Toole for Poohbah Bette Midler for Poohbess Both would have been beautifully arrogant at Andropov's funeral (however, they might have started WWIII....).
