[net.veg] moral superiority

A friend of mine, who is a devout World War II buff, informs
me that Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian. Is this true?

Yes, it's true. Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian.
But not for moral reasons! Hitler had severe digestion prob-
lems, and could not eat meat even if he wanted to. He had some
very bizarre eating habits, like consuming 2lbs of chocolate/day.

I believe this is true. I read it in "The Rise and Fall of the
Third Reich." I don't recollect what Herr Hitler's reasons were
but somehow I suspect he was worried about his health more than
any moral problems associated with killing animals!
