Does anyone know of good books on how to raise children on vegetarian diets? I'm particulary interested in vegan diets, but will settle for vegetarian as well. Please send mail to me and I will summarize to net. -- Jonathan G. Bressel The MITRE Corporation MS E025 P.O. If a vegan mother does nurse he child, will she have problem related to the fact that many desirable foods for her (like broccoli, for example) can cause the baby gastic distress. -- jcpatilla ..{seismo,allegra}!umcp-cs!aplcen!osiris!jcp "There is no way to peace; peace is the way."

Re: Vegetarian Babies_____________________________________________________ > I guess that a vegan diet for babies would exclude mother's milk > - after all, that's an animal product, right? This implies that veganism is mindless dogma. Wrongo. One follows a vegan diet for specific reasons, and none of these rea- sons apply to mother's milk. (I can only think of one objection to mother's milk along vegan lines, and that has to do with the buildup of pollutants in the milk. Of course, a vegan mother will have the lowest levels of the pollutants in her milk.) ::::.-----.:::::<_Jym_>::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::/ | \::::.-----.:::::::::::::::: Jym Dyer ::::::::::::::::: ::/ | \::/ o o \::::::::: Dracut, Massachusetts :::::::::: ::\ /|\ /::\ \___/ /:::::: DYER%VAXUUM.DEC@DECWRL.ARPA ::::::: :::\ / | \ /::::`-----':::::: {allegra|decvax|ihnp4|ucbvax} :::::: ::::`-----'::::::::::::::::: decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-vaxuum!dyer :::::
