I did not know of the controversy concerning Dannon's use of the term "kosher gelatin". I have seen "kosher gelatin" used as a name for agar in the past and I presumed Beatrice used it because it sounded better than agar-agar. I guess my response to Susan's posting should have been more on the line of "why would you want to icky fruit flavored yogurt when you can add the fruit yourself and it's much better". I missed the conclusion here: when does "gelatin" mean "agar", and when does it mean "made from dead animals" ? Or is the conclusion that we have no conclusion ?
