[net.consumers] Baby furniture

We're starting to look at baby furniture, and I'm interested in
comments/suggestions/recommendations people may have. I'll summarize
anything I receive to the net.

In particular, I'm curious about a couple of "gimmicky" items we
saw at a store the other day. One is the "Dimension 4" crib, made
by Simcoe Wood Products. It's a combination crib and changing table,
which converts into a youth bed, sofa and night table, then a
desk and cupboard and various other things as the child grows up,
up to the age of 8 or 10. The idea is to buy one piece of furniture
which will still be useful over the years. Of course, it's a fair
bit more expensive than a simple crib and changing table.

The other is called the "Wonda-Chair". It starts as a high chair,
specially designed for safety and mounted on top of a table. It
comes with a carriage, and all the various pieces come apart (easily)
and refit to form a large stroller, a baby's rocking chair, a
baby's recliner, a cradle, feeding chair, a chair and desk, a
chair with drawing table, and a bunch of other things. All of these
can be interchanged in seconds. The versatility is quite impressive,
at least in the showroom. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who
has bought this beast.
