[net.consumers] Know about "Blair" mail-order clothes?

topher@cyb-eng.UUCP (Topher Eliot) (03/19/84)

A company called Blair is offering to sell me pants ($20 for two pairs of
polyester, or $26 for two pairs of cotton/poly) through the mail, complete
with a one-week satisfaction guarantee. Anybody dealt with them before?

aeq@pucc-h (Jeff Sargent) (03/20/84)

I have ordered a fair amount of stuff (mostly shirts) from Blair, and I am
reasonably well satisfied with their merchandise. Once a shirt arrived with
a stain that did not wash out. I sent it back, and they sent me a fresh one
promptly. (If I recall correctly, I even enclosed a note suggesting that it
would be good for the company image if they reimbursed me for the cost of
shipping it back; and lo and behold, they did!)

I cannot speak as to the quality of the slacks Blair sells, since I don't
go for slacks (narrow-wale corduroy is more my style). However, as I said,
I've been reasonably satisfied with the stuff I have gotten from them; I
think they give you your money's worth.
