{} I appreciate Randy King's support, but I really didn't hope to fuel the American vs foreign automaker controversy. I hope that others may benefit from the experiences I report. I try not to make a statement, either implicitly or explicitly, about Chrysler, the American automakers, etc. just to report the facts. While we're on the subject...I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The guy who called me back didn't like what he saw, so under his suggestion, I wrote the chairman of the Federal Trade Commission. I basically questioned Chrysler's responsibility under their warranty, the consistency of the information I was given versus what the Board used, and the objectivity of the Board in weighing both sides. I also contacted the Center for Auto Safety, who also thought something looked wrong, and now my "file" is being looked at by their arbitration attorneys (who might also take it to the FTC). I have a list of lawyers who make a living out of Lemon Law cases, and some of which will operate on a contingency basis. I also plan on contacting the consumer advocates of the major TV stations in New York City and Philly - the Lemon Law is nearing its 1 year birthday, maybe they're planning a report?!?! I wrote, again, to the Chrysler Zone Office and Lee Iacocca but got no response. I didn't realize it until recently, but I NEVER got anything in writing from Chrysler themselves, always from the Board. As far as I am concerned, Chrysler has not admitted anything officially, and IS DOING NOTHING. In other words, bend over and pick up the soap... Until I Flame Again (a promise) Joe Carfagno and his Chrysler {ihnp4,allegra,others}!u1100a!joec p.s. anybody want to buy a 1983 New Yorker 5th Avenue - mint condition except for a skipping engine...don't laugh, I may need to show that the problem reduces the value of the car. GOOD IDEA - please email me your responses as to how much you would pay for this cat...wholesale is about 12000, retail 13500. This would be a great help...
