[net.consumers] Q: special discounts ar large companies?

Some years back I worked overseas for a daughter/affiliate company of a/the
major oil company, and all my colleagues in the US could get cars, TV's,
most everything at incredible discounts.

Can anyone explain how the buying power of a lot of well-paid employees can
be get these discounts?  Maybe some examples of prices some of you ATT
folks may be getting on new cars?

Then we can form a new group of all the USENET-users and wield our consumer
power to get prices BELOW cost ....
