I have heard about lawnmowers that have no wheels, but sort of "float"
on a cushion of air generated by a fan. That sounds like fun.
Does anybody know about these things?

These have been sold in Britain for years under the trade name "Flymo".
They are easy to manouevre and especially useful for mowing steep banks.
Tie a rope around the handle, stand at the top of the bank and move the mower
around with the rope.

When I lived in London about 10 years ago, I saw ads in magazines for
the "Flymow" wheel-less mower.
