My family will be vacationing in Florida (Tampa area). I have asked our local travel service company (one used by our company) to make a reservation for us and to shop around for economy. Thay made a reservation with General. I never heard of them. Has anyone else heard of them? The weekly rate for an intermediate sized car is $99/week with unlimited mileage. I recently was on vacation/business (some of each) in CA, rented from General at SFO, and was very pleased. We got a 4-door Ford Tempo (auto, PS, PB, air, etc.) for $99/week, kept it 12 days, got charged for 2 weeks (it was cheaper than 1 week + 5 days). Car ran well, service was o.k. (better on return than checkout), overall a 2.94/4.0.
