[net.consumers] International Home Marketing

Can anyone time me anything about International Home Marketing, Inc.
They seem to be a 'Direct Purchasing' (no middle-man) company with
offices in Illinois and Missouri, if not elsewhere. I got
a phone spiel followed by a mailed invitation to become a member.
What makes me wary are these lines from the letter that came with
the invitation;

When you come in, please allow AMPLE TIME so that
we may acquaint you with a complete explanation of
	our SYSTEM... [emphasis mine]

and

...if there is a spouse, it is necessary that both
	partners attendin order to qualify.

Should I expect a hard sell? Is anyone out there a member
of this group? Is it worthwhile to become a member or must
I buy large volumes to break even? (I assume there will be
something like a annual membership fee.) Any and all
answers appreciated.

Yep.

I can not say anything about your current offer, but several times in the
past, we have attended offers that insisted that "both must be present" .

We have never been satisfied with the results.
