<gulp> With the increased concern about credit card fraud, and account numbers falling into the wrong hands, one should be concerned about what happens to the carbon paper between the copies of charge slips. Many banks are going to carbonless paper, which is the best solution (I've gotten mostly carbonless VISA slips in the NYC area recently) but until everyone converts, you can protect yourself by asking the merchant to give you the carbon paper from the slip. They're generally glad to do so, and then you can dispose of it in a safe manner. Bill Mitchell (whuxl!wjm)
