Have you ever bought "Windex" or other brand name glass cleaner at the store for ~1.49 +/- change?? I have untill recently paid over $1.50 for about 22oz. of this stuff...that is untill I decided one day to try using the automotive washer/anti-freeze window solution sold almost every-where. The result?..obviously good or I wouldn't be writting this! The automotive windshield washer fluid/anti-freeze (NOT RADIATOR ANTI-FREEZE!!!) will cost you under a dollar (it's usually on sale for .69~.99)for about a gallon...that seems allot better than paying about $1.49 or more for 20~30 oz. of the supermarket type cleaner. BUT DOES IT CLEAN?...sure does! just as well as the brand name stuff except that it evaporates a bit faster. This is presumably due to a higher alcohol content to resist winter freezing in your car. Lebowitz P.S.: And the best part is that both have the same NEATO blue color...you can pour the automotive version into the "name brand" bottle to fool your friends!!!------kind of like pouring "Thunderbird" into a "Rothschild" bottle...

The windows in Denver really get dirty and filmy from our "wonderful mountain SMOG". I have used vinegar water for cleaning. It is a little bit of a hassle, but shines them up. A pail of vinegar water, THEN a pail of rinsing water. Patti Kerr
