Yet another solution, one that is used frequently by restaurants (i.e. all the restaurants that my wife and I have ever worked in) and other places: put about 1 part white vinegar to 7 to 10 parts water in a spray bottle, and let fly. It cleans as well as windex(tm) or any other cleaner we have come across. For an extra bright shine on your glass, use newspaper (the more newsprint the better) to wipe the windows you have sprayed with the above solution. -- ________ ( ) Don Stanwyck @( o o )@ 312-979-3062 ( || ) Cornet-367-3062 ( \__/ ) ihnp4!ihuxr!stanwyck (______) Bell Labs @ Naperville, IL

Have you ever noticed that neither Windex nor the auto windshield washer fluids do a good job of removing that stubborn film that tends to collect on your windshield in the winter time? I learned a trick many years ago watching a cross-country truck driver at a truck stop. He used a can of Coca-Cola (tm) and poured it on the windshield. That stuff really cuts the film, and your cheap washer fluid works much better after that! Not exactly cheap, but interesting ... -- Tom Putnam {decvax|harpo|ihnp4|inuxc|seismo|ucbvax}!pur-ee!pucc-h:ac4
