[net.consumers] Request 35mm camera recommendation

I'm in the market for 35mm SLR automatic.  I'd like full programmed
automation (so my wife or any other novice can use it) as well
as aperature and/or shutter preferred auto exposure and full manual.

I'm considering the following and would greatly appreciate any
comments or suggestions on these or any other cameras.  They seem
similar in features and price.  Which do I buy ???

                          Canon A-1
                          Minolta X-700
                          Nikon FE2
                          Olympus 2S
                          Pentax Super Program
                          Ricoh XR-P

P.S. Where do I buy it?  Has anyone had any experience with a discount
mail order place - like those in the back of the Photo magazines.
