Per an article from one netter, I too was given the large
waterford bowl as a gift, the piece had "white slivers" and
about 14 noticeable bubbles near the bottom.
My mother returned it to the department store it was purchased
at the the salesman said waterford is really going down-hill
in their QC lately and many people are returning pieces.
I never replaced the piece and feel that the name "WATERFORD"
and the price you pay for it, should be FLAWLESS.
Seems like everything else, when a companys brand name goes to
their head, they let their quality slip.
