I'm interested in information on those home fitness/exercise systems (such as the DP 1500, Solarflex, etc). My wife and I are contemplating the purchase of such a device to help us burn off the extra "insulation" we've acquired this winter and in general to help us get in shape. I've seen quite a few ads lately, and the prices on such products seems to be getting down near what I am willing to pay (~$200). I've never been much for the old weight bench approach, and am interested in finding out whether the new generation equipment is better suited for general workout and lends itself well to conditioning. I realize that a health club/spa with Nautilus machines might be considerably more effective, but my past experience leads me to conclude that I'd use the equipment much more regularly if I had it at home. In particular, I'd like to hear about particular products, plus get some idea what to look for when shopping around. As always, I'll be happy to forward accumulated comments to other interested parties, and/or pass it along to the net.
