I don't fly, but I do drive, and thus far the only problem I have experienced
with Iburprofen (in the form of Advil and Nuprin) is heartburn...not severe
heartburn, just enough to let me know it was there. However, the heartburn
was a small price to pay for the relief which ibuprofen brought to my back
problems. I highly recommend both Advil and Nuprin over asprin...they work
quickly and are longer lasting in their affect.

Ibuprofen does not cause an increase in bleeding time, and does not
cause tinnitus. Both are direct side-effects of aspirin which ibuprofen
does not share. However, it's been found that almost any anti-inflammatory
agent which works through inhibition of prostglandin synthesis may
irritate the stomach, especially if taken in large doses over a long
period of time. Ibuprofen may have a smaller immediate irritant effect
on the stomach than aspirin. People with a history of ulcers should
contact their doctor before taking ibuprofen.
