Is anyone aware of a general reference book that breaks down and analyzes each fiscal years federal budget? This sort of thing obviously exists; where does one get one, how much, etc... Next, does anyone know of a book that analyzes the year-to-year trends of the budget? It's not the analysis I'm really interested, it's the history of the major line items. Any suggestions would be appreciated. ________________________________________________________________________________ from the confused and bleeding fingertips of ...!sequent!richard

Check out the Statistical Abstract of the United States, published yearly by the Department of Commerce. It contains every statistic under the sun, including breakdowns of the federal budget. Fascinating reading! Superintendent of Documents US Govt Printing Office Washington DC 20402 202/783-3238
