[net.consumers] Leyson's Cookware

reza@ihuxb.UUCP (Reza Taheri) (06/11/85)

Has anybody heard of Leyson's cookware? I compared Leyson's,
Calphalon (sp?), and Magnalite (sp?) side by side. They all "seemed"
similar in terms of looks, material, weight, and their claims. The
only difference is the price: Calphalon gives me 9 pieces (really 5
pans if you exclude the covers, meat rack, and handle cover) for $200,
Magnalite has 9 pieces (really 5) for $140, and the Leyson's package
includes 10 pieces (really 6) for $100. Leyson's is superior in
terms of [$$/pan] and the Cookmart salesperson claimed Leyson's quality
is as good as the other, more expensive brands.

Has anybody had any experience (good or bad) with Leyson's?
Anything that I should watch for? And a more general question: is the
kind of surface these pans have as easily cleanable as they claim?
How does it compare to teflon? Thanx.

The question is "ARE YOU right for Grape Nuts?"
