[net.consumers] New Coke

That is scary. Because I called, telling them that I abhor the new
Coke, and refuse to buy it in the future. They said OK, thanks for
letting us know, and took my address and phone number. They said
nothing about sending me coupons.

Now I wonder--will they send me coupons without asking and credit
me with a positive response? If I get some, I will of course return
them with a written comment.

By the way, I would like to boycott all Coke products. Surely some
of those are hard to identify. (I was boycotting all Hunt-Wesson
stuff many years ago because of dear, sweet, old H.L. Hunt. I was
always finding strange things that they made--often with no indication
on the package.) How does one find out such things about a large
conglomerate?

Also, have you seen the latest Bill Cosby ads for New Coke? In it, he talks
about how he always liked the taste of Coke, but now thinks the new stuff
is the best Coke ever.

It appears that now Coke is resorting to an appeal to the "lost lambs".

Sorry about my last posting about the new coke. I inadvertently
left part of another posting in the file I sent to the net. Only
the first 3 paragraphs or so are mine. This is about the 7th
really stupid thing I've done today--maybe it's time to go home
and go to bed (at lunchtime!)

By the way, on the same subject, I noticed an add by a local
fast food place (Wendy's, I think) that they were giving free new
Coke with orders. Maybe someone is desperate?
