There is quite a bit of confusion about KDKA and their claim to be the first
broadcast station. They were not, what they were is the first "regularly
scheduled broadcast station". All others with prior claims were apparently
on now and again, but with no schedule.

Also KDKA has ALWAYS been KDKA, it was only in the past 30 or so years
that the distinction of "K" for stations west of the Mississippi and
"W" for those to the east had been adhered to. By the by, Pittsburgh
has two such stations, KQV, an all news station is the other with the
"wrong" call sign.
