[net.consumers] Getting rid of roaches

As strange as this may sound, use bay leaves. Sprinkle bay leaves
in front of all the places the roaches crawl in and out of of. Sprinkle
all the holes in the wall. Sprinkle around places where roaches might
find a bite to eat. The oils in the bay leaves burn their little
feet and and they won't crawl over the bay leaves. My mother has used
this method and it seems to work. Some scientists discovered this amazing
property of bay leaves by accident. It's amazing how things work sometimes.

I'm told that boric acid has much the same effect as bay leaves.

You should also note that both of these are toxic to small children.
