.............. I am constantly hearing talk of two radar detectors; Passport and Escort. Are they the best two available? Is one better than the other? Are they both made by the same company? Thanks in advance, Bob

I believe the Passport is better because it is smaller, it has LEDs for the strength meter which are instantaneous and easier to read, it has a mute switch you can hit to temporarily shut the beeping off for the current episode, and it comes with more mounts and power cables. > Are they both made by the same company?
