I'm a on and off reader of this newsgroup, and I seem to recall a (fairly) 
recent discussion on microwave ovens..  If there's anyone out there who has 
collected the postings, would you mind re-posting it, or sending to me

Check out the November issue of Consumer Reports. They have a write-up
on which microwaves perform best.
