[net.consumers] Information on exercise equipment wanted

kuzminsk@unc.UUCP (David Kuzminski) (11/22/85)

My wife and I have been looking for sturdy and flexible exercise
equipment that won't require that we take out a second mortgage.
We have both used Nautilus equipment, and really like the concept
of controlled resistance throughout the range of muscle contraction,
but the home Nautilus equipment is really expensive.

We have looked at equipment made by Marcy and by DP, but are not very
impressed by the sturdiness of what we've seen. Does anyone have any
experience with different types of equipment - recommendations -cautions?
How about features found on some of the more expensive brands that the
cheapies don't have, such as 'butterfly' attachments? Are they worth it?

If you will mail replies to me, I will be glad to post a summary to the
net.

Thanks.
