There seems to be a diversity of experiences with contact lens for astigmatism. I think the key was given in one article. It mentioned that there were two types of astigmatism, lenticular and corneal. I have no idea which flavor of astigmatism I have, and most people probably don't. If we could ask our eye docs., we might find that everyone who has had trouble is a "lenticular", and everyone who has had success is a "corneal". Also, there seem to be some real erratic diagnoses.
