While everybody is on the subject of long distance, I thought that I would make note of this fact which I just learned of. It is possible to obtain a copy of a toll free directory, in other words, a directory which lists all of the public 1-800 numbers. Sounds great, but the cost for a business-to-business directory is $14.95+tax and the consumer edition is $9.95+tax. It may be worth it to some people even though you can always call 1-800-555-1212 for free assistance for toll free numbers. I bit on this, and consider it a waste of money. It is not a white pages, but rather a yellow pages - businesses pay extra to be included. I found very little useful in it.
