Does anyone know of a source (mailorder or otherwise) for a LOW price on Honda generators? All of the local dealers (usually motorcycle and boat dealers) that carry them are asking an arm and a leg for them (4000 watts for $700 or $800 dollars) and unlike the motorcycles there does not seem to be any discounting or lower prices for"1985 leftovers". When I bought a motorcycle I shopped around at various dealers and they all were capable of finding out that there were leftover motorcycles at the main U.S. warehouse of some models from two and three years back at really low prices. I had a local dealer order me one of these year-old leftovers and saved a considerable amount of money. No one seems to be doing this for generators. Are they actually that scarce? In some magazines I have seen ads for companies such as C.O.M.B Inc and Northern Hydraulics and other who claim of low prices on generators but seem to only carry some inferior brand at a fair price and a couple of Honda models at outrageous prices. Are the "inferior" brands (well...maybe they're not inferior) any good? Thanks for any reply.
