I'm looking for some DNA comparison programs, primarily for handling
sequencing gel data, but also capable of doing such things as restriction site
some database homology searching. And also
protein translations etc. I've got a huge set that runs on our DEC 20 but
Its takes up too much disk space. I've also got a few that run under
Apple Pascal, but they are too slow and don't really do enough. What I'd
like is something inbetween, preferably that would run under UN*X or even
CP/M.
