<> Someone had a note describing a journal "Creation/Evolution" (P. O. Box 146, Amherst Branch, Buffalo, NY 14226, $8/yr - 4 issues). I found an colleague who subscribes and have read two issues. Based on this small sample, it seems to be mostly dedicated to explaining the biology and science behind the topics which creationists try to ridicule. The articles are well, but not slickly, written. The journal is small (5"x7") and approx. 44 pages. The Fall 1982 issue is mostly on whales, with discussions on how they could have evolved from land mammals, and on how some of their vestigial structures fit in with this lineage. The Winter 1983 issue on devoted to Noah's ark, and is a point-by- point scientific refutation of the literal details of the Bible story. How could Noah gather up 2-7 individuals of each species (kind?), care for them, feed them, return them to their proper place, etc. I found these two issues to be well worth reading. --henry schaffer ncsu genetics
