I recently bought a fairly good grade microscope and a small arsenal of used books and equipment. I want to undertake a hobby-level study of biology on those bleak winter nights when it is too cold for these old bones to be outside with the telescope. I've had no problem in rounding up good books on micro- scope technique, biology, bacteriology, botany and zoology which cover much more than I can absorb for the next year or two. My problem is one of general ident- ification of that bunch of little puppies that swim into view. Peterson's,the Audibon Society,Golden Press, etc.,put out a whole library full of field guides for any subject from birds to stars to bugs to animal feces. My question to you pros out there in netland is do you know of any "FIELD GUIDE TO TEENSIES" that could steer me back into the right parts of the textbooks? I never have figured out how to work out a mail address from all that info at the beginning of an article and trust myself to use only the "-r" to write an answer so I'll thank everyone in advance for any help. - Phil Lavette, AT&T-IS, Denver
