A friend of mine needs some help from those of you in the Biology communnity.

I am doing a project on the effect of slope on plant growth and distribution.
The weeds I am studying are: Bermuda Buttercup (*Oxalis pes-caprae*),
Chickweed (*Stellaria media*), Sweet-Scented Bedstraw (*Gallium Apperimum*),
and as yet unidetifiable species each of wild oats and thistles. While
it would be very nice to have sources dealing directly with the effect of
slope on these plants, anything related would be helpful. As the end of
the semester is *RAPIDLY APPROACHING* I would appreciate information as
soon as possible.

Since she has no access to the net, I am posting this for her. She has spent
quite a lot of fruitless time searching here at Berkeley, but she might have
