[net.micro.trs-80] MC-10 = Cheap Terminal

spl@mgweed.UUCP (Steve Lorenz) (03/27/84)

	Since my article on using the Radio Shack MC-10 Micro Color computer
as a cheap terminal, I have received a few requests for more info and so I will
try to answer them here.

	#1. The MC-10 has a 32 character per line display.
	#2. It has 16 lines per screen.
	#3. The Compac terminal program offers the following options;
		Baud rates = 110, 300, 1200
		Full or Half Duplex
		7 or 8 bit word length
		Auto linefeeds
		Upper case only or upper/lower case
		  *when in the up/low case mode, upper case letters are
		   displayed in reverse video.
	#4. All incoming text is stored in a buffer, and the user can exit
	the terminal mode to examine this buffer. With a standard 4k machine
	this buffer holds the last two pages of text that has scrolled off
	the screen. If you have the additional 16k ram pack this buffer will
	hold the last 34 pages of text.
