Subj; "pre-commercial" Laurie Anderson albums I'll answer here in net.music, since the question was asked here. But basically, she's a classical composer playing with pop influences (sort of like Warhol played with commercial art). Older Anderson pieces include - 'New York Social Life' and 'Time to go home' on an album called 'Electronic music by Women Composers' (or something like that). 'Airwaves' is a collection (2 records) of sound-pieces by various artists. She has a couple of tunes on that ('It's not the bullet that kills you, it's the hole' is my favorite). Sorry, I don't know the record labels off hand. I have them at home, if anyone's interested. The older stuff is delightfully sloppy and home-made sounding. - Karl
