<------------ free line -------------> Yes there are still some MOD-I's out there(here). I know of a number that have been rejuvenated with GOLD-PLUGS and are running as BBS Systems (with a speed up mod), some with 5-10 Mb hard disks. As to software there are many programs becoming available that will copy files from TRS to MS-DOS and CP/M, look in 80-Micro for ads., I have used one called HYPERCROSS with great success (you will need a Double Density unit in your MOD-I, also now becoming quite cheap) and programs are around to convert TRS- BASIC to a good representation of MBASIC or whatever, look in Oct. 80- MICRO for a freeby/type it in yourself. If you have used PASCAL then a transfer a source (in ASCII) is about all that is needed, if BASIC you may have to do a bit of hacking, some functions do not work quite the same way, if Z-80 Assembly - you are out of luck!!! (what are portable/ high level languages for anyway). I have found that most work was spent in redesigning the screen layouts to take advantage of the 80/24 and color. Doug. C. UNC Chapel Hill.
