[net.micro.trs-80] Model4-p communications

Does anyone out there in *net.land* use a TRS-80 Model 4
(using COMM) to communicate with a Unix system?  (Vax-11/780).
If so, have you been successful in using full-screen editors
such as CCA-Emacs?  Also, how did you set the term specs to get
commands such as "ls" to work right?
 
 How about connecting to IBM systems such as the 4381 (under CMS)?
(using XEDIT...)
 
 I just purchased the Model 4-p, and would like to use it for the
above tasks.  Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
