I have a friend who has a model 16 and is running DBASE II. He is very unhappy with the performance and wants to use the 68000 to speed things up. If he were to buy xenix and a hard disk (he currently has 2 1.2 meg floppys), does anyone know of a DBASE II that will run under xenix? And if it does, will it give him significantly faster performance (he wants 10X speed up )? He is also interested in eventually in porting his DBASE application to Unify under unix. Any feedback from users of Unify under xenix would be appreciated. The application here is stock transaction logging. Any information about existing applications would be appreciated also. thanks, Pete Darnell
