[net.micro.trs-80] Model 100 control sequences

eirikur@amber.DEC (Eirikur Hallgrimsson) (12/06/85)

I tried responding directly to the requestor, but that path wouldn't work for
me. This is probably of general interest, anyway.

---

The TERM program (and perhaps the underlying screen driver) is essentially
an 8 line by 40 column VT52 emulator. Jeff Lomicka and I discovered the
following additional control sequences by exhaustive testing. This is the
document that I wrote up at that time. I have since seen some of these
documented somewhere, I think, but I don't remember where it was.

Non-VT52 control sequences.

DEC printer port cable data: (I let my M100 type files into Emacs for me!)
Printer ports accept input, and it appears as if it was keyed by the user.
File transfer *to* the M100 requires sending the printer-port-on escape
sequence.
Male, (M100) to Female (VT125, or equivalent printer port).
20=20
2=3
3=2
7=7

Modem cable (RS232):
Male to Male straight through.
