Well I also have a model 16. I got a letter in the mail the other day stating that the 6000 was going on sale for $2000 off the regular price. I was curious so I called my friendly Radio Shack store manager and asked him if they were discontinuing the model 6000. This is what RS typically does when they want to clear out there inventory. They drop the price dramatically. He said they are discontinuing the model 6000 and will be putting all their Xenix eggs in one basket. namely the model 3000. So, to the person with the memory for sale. It ought to be worth about $50.00 at most. Consider that RS will be scrapping out all 16/6000 related hardware/software for firesale prices. As far as the C compiler goes the RS development system compiler works well. If you are running Xenix 3.0 then you can buy the 3.0 Dev sys upgrade for about $200.00. As opposed to buying the actual 3.0 dev sys out of the catalog for $750.00. The upgrade has everything the regular system has so why pay the full (fool) $750?
