[net.micro.trs-80] MODEL II TO PC FILE TRANSFER

raf@rayssd.UUCP (Ronald A. Franklin) (04/25/86)

I know this will sound strange, but:
I am looking for a comm package that will allow transfer of a database file
from a TRS-80 Model II running TRSDOS to a PC clone. The package must allow
transfer of non-ASCII data (i.e. the data on the TRS side is a bit binary).
It should also implement some sort of error checking.

Please don't respond with "It's easy to write yourself". I'm unfamiliar
with TRS80 Model II, and totaly against reinventing the wheel.

If anyone has a KERMIT that will run on the Model II, I think it would
solve my problem.

Please reply by mail, rather than respond here.

If you should have any luck, please send me a pointer to what you
get. We use model II's for word processing and know that some day
(maybe soon) we will have to retire them. In doing so, we may need
to transfer our SCRIPSIT files to PC DOS.
